Meet our Provider

Terry Gemas, MD

Orthopedics

Terry Gemas, MDTerry K. Gemas, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon affiliated with White Rock Medical Group. Dr. Gemas also holds a Certificate of Advanced Qualifications (CAQ) in Sports Medicine.

He founded Lakewood Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine was founded in 2005 and has practiced in Dallas since 2001.

Dr. Gemas started his undergraduate training at Clemson University where he was a member of the varsity football team. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada. Dr. Gemas attended medical school at the University of South Carolina. He started his residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio for orthopedic surgery. He was a chief orthopedic resident at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals in Cleveland. In 2001, he completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at The University of Miami.

Dr. Gemas has a special interest in sports related injuries as well as cutting-edge arthroscopic and other minimally- invasive procedures, total joint replacement, computer-assisted surgery and general fracture care.

Dr. Gemas is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Texas Orthopaedic Association.
