Susmita Poudel, RN, was recognized with White Rock Medical Center’s DAISY Award for June.
Poudel, a registered nurse in the telemetry unit, cared for a patient whose family member shared a detailed account of the ways Poudel provided support, ultimately helping the family shift from worried to relieved and comfortable with the plan of care.
She helped the family member connect with doctors, confirmed surgery was scheduled, and ensured the patient’s care was “served with love,” according to the family member.
“I’m pretty demanding, but she responded kindly and professionally… this was service that truly went above and beyond my expectations,” the family member wrote.
Poudel has worked at White Rock since March 2022.
