This winter, the staff of White Rock Medical Center gave the gift of warmth. For two weeks following Thanksgiving, the Case Management team collected donations of blankets and coats from staff to help those in need.
Staff donated 30 coats and 70 blankets, all shared with Project Warm Us, a Dallas-based organization that gathers and distributes warm clothing and blankets for unhoused individuals.
“We just wanted to help. We were so thankful that we were able to give the donations right before Dallas was hit with a big freeze,” explained Shemille Finta, director of case management. “During the holidays, we wanted to support our community, and this was one way we could do that.”
